With a clear planning, the employment of digital imaging will be profitable with minimum effort. Since digital imaging was first used by graphic arts, all related peripherals have been developed with output in mind. After the Mircorsoft Window turning PC from text to image/text, MAC is still the major player for digital output. Until Microsoft's Powerpoint and Frontpage, PC finally gets on stage for presentation and Internet Web pages. For editing image, PHOTOSHOP is most successful, as it works for both platforms. The TIFF (Tagged image file format) can be accessed in MAC and PC.

Before any planning, it is better to pick up all information, hardware and software. If a part of the process will be outsourced, it is necessary to get the information from such service center, especially the file formats and resolution, removable media etc. In fact, CD ROM with ISO9660 standard is the best to work with any platform. It is better to choose by a system to avoid linking problem and the chance to degrade a certain part to meet the requirement of the next.
Image file formats are designed with different conception and compromise. Selection should be with full understanding of its application and specification. Common formats include JPG, PNG, BMP, BMP and TIFF. We demonstrate three of them, including PNG which is the major format we use for this Website.
