There are B/W and color enlargers, formats are 135, 6x6, 6x7, 6x9, 4x5, 8x10 etc. For B/W enlarger, we have warm and cool light head, direct and indirect lighting, condenser and diffused. Warm light, direct and condenser type is better in contrast and sharpness, ideal for small format. Cool light, indirect and diffused is better in uniformity with low heat, idea for large format. For color enlarger, projector light and diffused type with color head is the most common design. |
